Experiencing innerdance beyond location

Remote innerdance sessions make the process accessible regardless of physical location. Offered through online formats, these sessions allow participants to engage with sound, presence, and shared attention from their own space.

Remote sessions are not a substitute for in-person gathering, nor are they a lesser form of experience. They are simply a different container—one that emphasizes internal listening, self-regulation, and trust in the body’s capacity to engage through sound and awareness.

How Remote Sessions Work

Remote innerdance sessions are typically held via video and sound. Participants are invited to prepare a quiet, comfortable space where they can rest undisturbed.

Sessions may take place:

  • one-to-one with a facilitator

  • in small or large group formats

While the facilitator and participants are not physically together, the structure of the session remains consistent with in-person offerings: sound-guided exploration, non-directive facilitation, and respect for individual pacing and boundaries.

What to Expect

During a remote session, participants generally rest comfortably—often lying down—with eyes closed while a curated sound journey unfolds.

Experiences vary widely and may include:

  • stillness or subtle sensation

  • imagery, emotion, or memory

  • movement or energetic awareness

  • quiet presence or spaciousness

Nothing specific is required to happen. The process unfolds according to each person’s inner rhythm and capacity for self-regulation.

Presence, Safety, and Boundaries

Remote sessions rely on clear communication and self-responsibility. Participants are encouraged to:

  • listen to their own bodies

  • adjust position, volume, or engagement as needed

  • step out or pause at any time

Facilitators support the session through presence and witnessing rather than instruction or interpretation. Innerdance is not therapy or medical treatment, and remote sessions are not intended to replace professional care.

Accessibility & Practical Considerations

Remote sessions can be especially supportive for those who:

  • do not have access to in-person offerings

  • prefer engaging from their own space

  • are navigating travel, health, or location constraints

  • seek flexible ways to participate

A stable internet connection, a device with audio capability, and a quiet environment are generally recommended.
